Refurbishment Renovation
A refurbishment renovation is when you are essentially happy with the existing layout of your home and do not plan on altering or extending.
Your house may be jaded and worn and just in need of a cosmetic refresh to modernise it or it may require a bit more attention in terms of the fabric of the building, re-plumbing, re-wire and future-proofing.
Our refurbishment renovation service is suitable for those who have just purchased a home, a fixer upper and wish to bring it up to standard and place their own stamp on it prior to moving in.

FAQ’s
Do I need to move out of my home for a full house renovation?
Yes, it is wise to arrange alternative accommodation for the duration of the refurbishment works. If your home renovation includes a full house re-wire and re-plumb this will involve a significant disruption to your home. From early on in the process, your kitchen and bathroom(s) will be part of the demo and out of action. With dust, noise and the complete upheaval of your home, it most definitely would not be ideal or pleasant to stay put. From your building contractors perspective, working on a vacant home means that they can get through the scope of works more effectively.
Is it a good idea to complete our full home refurbishment in stages?
If your budget allows, it absolutely makes sense to undertake the entire full house refurbishment at the same time. The likes of a full rewire and re plumb will involve works that impact on most of the home. It would be a shame to completely refurbish the entire upstairs of your home only to discover that this works needs to be disrupted in order to complete the downstair refurbishment at a later stage. Also with economies of scale, it would be more cost effective to have a building contractor on site once to complete the entire works.
How do I ensure that the style of my home will look cohesive throughout?
This is a very important aspect to carefully consider and plan when embarking on a full home renovation. Often, homeowners, make the mistake of introducing a mix of home styles that simply don’t work and end up creating a disconnect between spaces and lack of cohesiveness. It is not that you have to choose one specific style and stick with it, when refurbishing. If you mix styles you need to ensure that they work well together and blend to create a sense of uniformity. Some homes may have a very contemporary living room and entry hall and then when you walk into their kitchen it has a very different feel, being a more traditional style. Basically, all spaces in the home should flow seamlessly and while some rooms may be a bit more formal than others, they should still work with the informal more relaxed spaces in terms of the overall aesthetics. You can of course mix old with new, however, it needs to be carefully curated and considered. The same applies to paint colours, keeping you palette simple will also help marry the spaces well. The general rule of thumb is unless that you feel very confident in styling your space, avail of the help of a designer who has the experience and skill to bring your vision to life – without the stress.
